He's BACK!!!

Tattoo and mural artist Josh Mediak, gives Dino-Rex his final look with his special artistic talent. Dino will be transported and installed at Cabazon Elementary School on Friday, April 30, 2010.

A public dedication assembly will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Cabazon school campus. Please come and help the students welcome their NEW Dino-Rex mascot to the campus. The entire "Bring Back Dino" project was funded entirely by private donations. Thanks to every sponsor for making this cause a reality!

The last dinosaur to roam the quad area at Cabazon Elementary School perished not from an asteroid, or an ice age, or global warming.
No — its fate was at the hands of human attackers, who smashed the cement school icon into fossil-like remains.

Banning detective leads effort to replace vandalized school statue
Two months after a concrete dinosaur at Cabazon Elementary School was vandalized, an effort is under way to replace the beloved object. Banning detective Doug Monte launched the campaign and hopes to raise $3,000 in 30 days for a new statue. It will be made by Pass-area blacksmith Klaus Duebbert, who crafted the sculpture of a mammoth that overlooks Highway 60 in Glen Avon.

CABAZON -- Gang-type graffiti was found at an elementary school in Cabazon that was vandalized today, a sheriff's sergeant said.
An alarm went off at 2:40 a.m. at Cabazon Elementary School at 50575 Carmen Ave., and responding deputies found the graffiti, said Sgt. Steve Fredericks of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
